This is an original Lee-Metford Bayonet Pattern 1888 Mk2 bayonet. The blade features many marks including the War Department mark, bending mark, Queen Victoria royal cipher and maker’s marks. The manufacturers name “Mole” is shown on the blade along with the date 1892. This bayonet comes with an original scabbard that is also marked with WD and royal ciphers.

*Condition*

The bayonet is in excellent condition for its age and usage. The blade is pristine and the hilt is strong and undamaged. All markings are clear and it has clearly been well kept. The scabbard is also excellent with some pitting to the metal parts and legible markings. Please see pictures for more detail.
