~ Original Bronze Ships Bell From Algerine Class Minesweeper HMS Fantome ~
~ 1942 (J224) ~
A large and heavy original ships bell from the Algerine class minesweeper of the Royal Navy HMS Fantome.
Fantome was launched in 1942. Under Capt. John Wilfred Boutwood she was mined off Bizerte, Tunisia on 20 May 1943. The ship was badly damaged and written off as Constructive Total Loss (CTL). She was Scrapped in 1947.
The bell is of bronze with ships name and date of launch to the front and government broad arrow to the reverse.
The bell does not have its clapper.
~ Condition ~
There is some oxidation in parts and general wear associated with age but otherwise the bell is in a good condition with no damages.

~ Dimensions ~
The bell has a diameter of 32 cm (12 ½ inches) and a height of 32 cm (12 ½ inches).
It weighs approximately 18 Kg.
