This is a 1907 pattern bayonet with a hooked quillon. This design feature was only in production for a few years. The hooked quillon bayonet was intended to allow the soldiers using it, to catch an opponent’s bayonet and disarm him. This bayonet comes with its original scabbard. Both parts are marked with the EFD maker’s mark and the blade is dated 10/11 (October 1911).

*Condition*

This bayonet is in great condition in keeping with its age and usage. There is some light pitting across the metal parts including the blade and the wooden grip is undamaged. Please see pictures for more detail as they form part of our condition report.
