This is an 1853 Pattern bayonet for the Enfield rifle.  The base of the blade features the “WD” (War Department) stamp along with the broad arrow. The blade is approximately 43cm with a total length of 52cm. It is complete with original, brass-mounted, black leather scabbard.

*Condition*

This bayonet is in great condition with some general pitting across the blade in keeping with its age. The scabbard remains strong and intact with minimal surface damage. Please see pictures for more detail.
