~ Original 2nd Pattern Indian Fairbairn Sykes Commando Dagger Fighting Knife ~

This is one of the iconic Fairbairn-Sykes Commando fighting knives used throughout World War 2, most notably by the British Commandos and other Special Forces units such as the SAS and Airborne forces. This particular knife is an Indian made example and one of the second pattern FS fighting knives – complete with field made leather scabbard.. It features the characteristic chequered brass grip along with original leather scabbard. The FS knives have been in service since 1941 and are still used in many places around the world today. This Indian-made knife differs from the usual British pattern slightly. It features a larger blade and a slightly thinner, shorter hilt.

*Condition*

This knife is in great condition with very light pitting to the blade with some heavier pitting on the crossguard. The grip is excellent with very minor marks and the scabbard is strong and undamaged. Please see pictures for more detail.
