~ New Zealand Militia 1861 Dated British 1853 Pattern 2 Band Snider Musket ~

The lock plate bears the Kings crown, the date of 1861 and an inspection stamp. The front end of the breech is stamped N 'Broad Arrow' Z, 8*8 and 1*8.

~ Condition ~

Please refer to the images for the condition. A very tidy example. The lock works well on half and full cock with a strong spring.

~ Dimensions ~

The musket is 124 cm (49 inches) in total length with a 75 cm (29.5 inches) barrel.
