Nazi SS Banner Top Eagle Mounted on a Wooden Stand

This metal Imperial Eagle would have originally been a banner top and has now been adapted to sit in a wooden desk stand. The Eagle’s head points to its left shoulder and is therefore known as a ‘Parteiadler’ In contrary to the commonly mistaken ‘Reichsadler’ which points to its right shoulder. The symbol of the Federal eagle and swastika was adopted by the Nazi’s as the Third Reich coat of arms.

*Condition*

The Eagle is in good condition with some wear on the swastika and the stand is in very good condition with minimal markings.
