A Birmingham proofed circa 1805 Napoleonic Peninsula War, British Issue Regulation Pattern Baker Rifle, for a Portuguese Officer or Portuguese Rifleman (chosen man as seen in the Sharp Series).
The rifle has a .603" cal rifled 31" barrel with Birmingham proof marks to the breech, 'V' rear sights, and a sword bayonet bar to the muzzle.
The barrel is retained by 3 flat keys and has 7-groove rifling.
The lock, which is in good working order, bears the Portuguese Crown.
The full stock is of walnut with a patchbox.
It has the original ramrod and regulation brass furniture.
