A small modern skull and crossbones lapel pin badge, produced in a brass-tone metal with red enamel infill to the skull design. The badge depicts a stylised “Jolly Roger” skull with crossed bones beneath, a motif long associated with pirate imagery, biker culture, and rock or alternative fashion.

The badge appears to be cast in a brass or brass-coloured alloy and finished with coloured enamel to the recessed areas of the skull. The reverse retains its original modern butterfly clutch pin fitting, allowing it to be worn on jackets, hats, bags, or display boards.

Pieces of this type became popular from the late 20th century onward as novelty or fashion pins, particularly within biker and rock culture where skull imagery became a widely recognised symbol.
