This fabulous realistic sculpture is in the form of a large cabbage, made from nephrite jade. The piece has depictions of finely crafted rippled leaves and a stem growing from the tip.
It is decorated with pierced with a dotted pattern across the entire body.
The colour of the jade is dark white with tones of light grey.
The piece is dated to the Ming era or earlier.
An excellent degree of workmanship.
