SKU: JA_317947809 Category:

Here we have a very interesting cannon that is rather typical of British artillery pieces from about the 1860's and 1870's.

This is one of the most detailed signal cannons i've ever seen with a beautiful carriage and elevation system made to absolute specifics of the period with a brilliant screw crank.

These signal cannons were made to set off a small powder charge for getting the attention of other ships or units.

The whole construction is of blackened treated iron and has previously been painted.

Overall one of the nicest large signal cannon we have had and a brilliant addition to any collection of artillery.

~ Dimensions ~

The barrel is 13 inches (33 cm) long.

The cannons entire length is 21 inches (53.5 cm) long.

The cannon weighs 8.08 Kg.

The cannon is in excelent condition for its age with no visible issues.
