M16 Duck Bill Imperial German WW1 Camouflaged Ear Cut Out Version

WW1 Original Camoulflaged Stalhelm With Ear Cut Outs.

Out of stock

An original rare Imperial German WWI First World War M16 pattern Camouflaged Steel combat helmet.

Fine untouched example of a Model 16 steel combat helmet as worn in the Trenches of the Western Front during the First World War.

The helmet has textbook block camouflage paint finish in greens, yellows and browns separated by thick black border lines.

The helmet interior retains the leather liner band and the three leather liner pads.

A very good example.  Rare. Condition; light battle damage.

Appears to be battle damaged and a period repair carried out to the left cut out area.

Many helmets had the cut outs effected in the field if not issued due to hearing issues

*Condition*

There is a small dent to top rear of the helmet.

General rust patches breaking through the paint in keeping with the age of this item.

95% of paint is still intact.

The string to the liner and the chin strap are missing.

Our pictures form part of the condition report.
