This is a late 18th Century British "Brown Bess" socket bayonet for the Brown Bess musket. It has a 17 inches (43cm) long blade. The socket measures 4 (10cm) long and the muzzle ring diameter is 25mm.

*Condition*

In terms of its structure the bayonet is not damaged or bent. However it does have a lot of pitting all over.  Please refer to the images as a part of our condition report.
