The scene is set in the lower end of Portsmouth harbour, looking North with the dockyards Semaphore tower to the right. It dates to around 1850, perhaps slightly earlier, as no steam vessels are present.

It is presented in a gilt wooden grazed frame with a single lined card mount.

~ Condition ~

The frame is decent but with some wear and dings. The mount has some water stains. The print is in excellent order.

~ Dimensions ~

The frame is 76 cm (30 inches) wide by 63 cm (25 inches) tall.
