A large decorative Japanese made ceramic plate dating to the mid to late 20^th century.

The plate is richly decorated with an image of a peacock with peony flowers on a green ground, highlighted with gilt details.

The plate has a black floral border.

The plate is stamped ‘Made in Japan’ to the reverse and also has an imprinted mark which we have not deciphered.

The plate has a diameter of 37.5cm (14 ¾ inches).

It weighs 1.9 Kg

~ Condition ~

The plate is in a very nice condition with no damage. The rim is a little rough in parts but this from the manufacturing process rather than wear.
