A highly impressive large Bowie knife in striking Native American style, designed both for display and practical use. This knife features a heavy Damascus steel blade with bold, swirling layered patterning throughout, each line unique to the traditional folding process. The blade measures approx. 27 cm, and the knife is 40.7 cm overall. The classic wide clip-point profile adds true frontier character.

The handle is made from stag horn slabs, beautifully polished to show natural colour and texture variations, accented with red fibre spacers and brass rivets. The brass crossguard has extended, flared quillons for strong hand protection and visual impact. The knife is full tang, ensuring strength and durability.

This knife comes with two scabbards: one robust, basket-weave tooled leather scabbard with belt loop and securing strap, showing honest age-related wear and some verdigris but remaining solid and practical; and one decorative Native American style fringed suede scabbard, hand-stitched and evocative of traditional tribal aesthetics, which shows heavier wear and seam separations to the rear, adding rustic display appeal. The inclusion of both is unusual and offers versatility for wearing or display.

Blade remains structurally excellent with prominent Damascus patterns, though there are patches of light oxidation and surface rust near the guard. The handle slabs are tight with minor natural cracks and age patina; verdigris is present around the brass fittings. The brass guard has small dings and a worn patina. Both scabbards exhibit age-related wear consistent with use, particularly the suede style scabbard which has some splits and fraying. Please see photographs as part of the condition report.
