~ Large Argentan Goliath Pocket Watch ~
An impressive large vintage Goliath pocket watch in Argentan (nickel silver).
The watch has a large white enamel dial with black Roman numeral hours, and two blued steel hands.
It has a subsidiary seconds dial at the six o'clock position.
The dial is not named.
The watch has a silver plate nickel case marked inside 'Depose Argentan' (the Depose apparently relating to the silver plating).
The inner cover reads 'Ancre Double Plateau, Non Magnetique, 15 Rubies'.
The watch has a manual movement, which winds by turning the crown to the top.
The crown has a double purpose as the time is changed by holding down the small button just above the one o'clock position and
turning the crown again.
~ Dimensions ~
The dial has a diameter of 55mm.
The watch measures 64mm across the bezel.
It weighs 207g.
~ Condition ~
The dial has a small crack between the hours of 1 and 2 and another below the six. The second has a little discolouration below it.
Neither of these are particularly noticeable to the naked eye.
The crystal has a few light scratches but no other damage.
The case has one very light ding and general light wear commensurate with age but in general is in a very nice condition.
The watch is in good working order and presents very well.
