~ Japanese Signed Wakizashi Sword with Carved Bone Fittings ~

An excellent example of a signed Japanese blade with a clear hamon and excellent tip.

The tang is named (translation welcomed!)

The tang is Futsu kuri-jiri shape with taka-no-ha filemarks.

The hamon is sugu (straight) and the tip seems to be Jizo.

The piece comes in its original carved bone scabbard and grip.

This is most probably a Meiji era piece.

~ Condition ~

The peg is missing and the grip is cracked.

Otherwise, the piece remains in excellent condition.
