~ Japanese Edo Period Boxwood Netsuke of a Moon Rabbit & Kit ~

A Japanese hand-carved boxwood netsuke from the Edo period (1603 to 1868) of a (Moon) rabbit with  baby rabbit (kit)

The netsuke is beautifully carved with plenty of detail and has the usual two holes to the reverse.

~ Dimensions ~

The netsuke has a height of 5cm (approx. 2 inches).

It weighs 23.6g

~ Condition ~

There is some damage to the Kits ear but otherwise the netsuke is in great condition.
