*Italian, 1860 Pattern, Heavy Cavalry Sabre and Scabbard by Schnitzler & Kirschbaum (S&K) of Solingen.*
This is a 1860 Pattern Italian Heavy Cavalry Sword by Schnitzler & Kirschbaum (S&K) of Solingen, Germany. It was made for the Italian army between 1860-1864. The 895mm curved blade bears a clear S&K stamp on the forte and inspection mark on the other side. A good single edged weapon comes with its original scabbard and a tie.
*Condition*
This blade is in excellent condition with some minor tarnishing to the blade. The heavy-duty steel guard is in good condition and the interior has age related patina. The hilt retains its original leather grip with some minor signs of wear and tear. The twisted brass is intact and tight. Please see photographs as part of the condition report.
