The Mk 2 Pineapple Grenade is a renowned symbol of warfare and was a widely used during WWII. Its segmented metal body resembles a pineapple, hence the name. The cylindrical fuze assembly at the top housed the ignition mechanism, armed by removing a safety cap and pin. These anti-personnel weapons would have been thrown by hand approximately 30 yards. The explosion released deadly shrapnel, causing damage within its blast radius. The Mk 2 Pineapple Grenade's reliability and effectiveness made it a standard issue for American forces and allies. This particular grenade was said to have been found in the Ardennes Forest. It has since been deactivated.

This grenade is in great condition for its age with all original parts and no significant damage, just pitting to the body. Please refer to the pictures for more detail.
