From a private collection of superlative quality, this has got to be the best Luftwaffe 2nd pattern we have ever seen or expect to see, it is as issued practically. If you are a serious collector this would be the pinnacle of your collection.
This is a beautiful 2nd model Luftwaffe Dagger. It is an immaculate condition with intricate markings and features.
The pommel is in great condition with beautiful oak leaves surrounding the golden swastikas on both sides.
The cross guard is matching and has good pebbled pattern on the rear. The front features the flying eagle clutching at a swastika. The grip is a deep orange colour in superb condition and comes with a silver portepee.
The scabbard is an incredible example of the second pattern scabbard and features an intricate pebbling pattern with more oak leaves near the point and the hanger fittings. The hanger is the original and is also in an amazing condition. This features suede straps with oak leaf buckles and a leather frog.
