The tompion, a gun muzzle cover, is of bronze and is now mounted on an oak plaque with a wall hanging slot. There is an old auction label to the reverse.

HMS Mary Rose (J360) was an Algerine-class minesweeper launched in 1943 and broken up in 1957.

The tompion would have been fitted to her single QF 4 in (102 mm) Mk V anti-aircraft gun.
