The Kukri is a type of machete originating from the sub-continent of India. It is the staple weapon of all Gurkha military regiments and units throughout the world. Gurkhas are known to be as fearless in combat as they are good natured in daily life. To this day, they remain renowned for their loyalty, professionalism and bravery. This particular Kukri is very large (27.5 inch blade) and therefore would most likely be used as an executioner’s blade. This set includes the Kukri and Karda (smaller knife) complete with a scabbard fit for both.

*Condition*

The blade is very clear with some small patches of pitting. It also curves the left when holding it. The pattern on the blade is still very nice and clear and the handle has held up nicely with some minor marks and scratches. The Karda has a very nice handle but the blade is heavily pitted on one side. Please see pictures for more detail as they form part of our condition report.
