~ Givejoy Toys Skybirds 1/72nd Scale Aircraft Series Model No 10 Sopwith Schneider Baby Floatplane ~
The model was constructed from a Givejoy Toys 1/72nd scale aircraft kit, part of the Skybirds series, the kit was issued between 1935 and 1945.
The hand constructed and painted model was constructed by the original vendor as a boy (between July 1935 & January 1942).
The wooden model is extremely detailed.
The set is complete with the original instructions.
Quite an amazing example of early model making.
~ Sopwith “Schneider” Baby Floatplane ~
The Sopwith Baby was a British single-seat tractor seaplane used by the Royal Navy Air Service (RNAS) from 1915. It was used as a shipborne reconnaissance and bomber aircraft.
~ Dimensions ~
The plane is 4 inches (10.1 cm) long with a 4 ½ inch (12.7 cm) wingspan and is 2 7/8 inches (7.3 cm) tall. It weighs 22 grams.
~ Condition ~
The model is in excellent condition.
