~ Gilt Spelter Figure Of A Dashing Cavalryman After Vasily Chapaev ~

This is a great figure of a horse and rider in full gallop.

The piece has been wonderfully crafted and really gives the piece a feeling of energy and speed.

The horseman is carrying a trailing sabre sword and his cape is flowing in the wind.

Beneath the horse there is an inscription.

This is a copy of a famous Red Army statue after Vasily Chapaev, probably made in the 1930's/60's.

~ Dimension ~

The piece measures 6 ½ inches (16cm) by 9 inches (23cm). It weighs 945g.

~ Condition ~

There is a little wear to the gilt in some areas but overall the piece is in great condition.
