Marked on inside of Buckle: RZM 155/40 ᛋᛋ - The markings are near the catch dating this c1940, after this the markings moved underneath the prongs.

F. W. Assmann & Söhne was founded in 1826 by Friedrich Wilhelm Assmann. After his death, his son Eugen Assmann took over the company until his own death in 1929. Rudolf Assmann, the next family successor, led the company until his death in 1940. During the war, F. W. Assmann & Söhne was a major manufacturer of buttons and buckles.
