*German, WW2, Luftwaffe Aluminium Basting - Serving Spoon, Dated 1941, Marked FL.U.V. and Maker marked Berndorf*

Aluminum construction marked with a Luftwaffe eagle, flight barracks administration acceptance stamp - FL.U.V. "Flieger Unterkunft Verwaltung" and maker mark for Berndorf on the reverse.

The Berndorf company (the name means "bear village") made superb silverware for Adolf Hitler, Hermann Göring, Heinrich Himmler, hotels such as the Kaiserhof in Berlin, and Nazi paramilitary organizations like the SS, SA, Hitler Youth (HJ), etc. They also made silverware for institutions of the German Government, and branches of the Wehrmacht such as the Luftwaffe, Waffen-SS, Kriegsmarine, etc. This logo uses the same image as is on the Alpacca silverware but in this case the Al may refer to Aluminium.
