This example retains its threaded male stem for fitting into a mine or demolition charge body and displays clear, legible period markings. The word “Druck” (German for “pressure”) is present, indicating pressure activation, alongside “125 Kg” denoting the pressure load required to operate the fuze. Additional markings include “45 Kg Zug” (Zug meaning “pull”, indicating trip-wire activation), “Sich” (Sicherung, “safety”), and “R.R.K.”, signifying approval to official German Reich ordnance standards (Reichs-Richtlinien-Kommission), plus a Waffenamt.
The slotted top arming plate and original pull ring remain intact, with surface wear and oxidation consistent with age and service use.

DZ 29 fuzes were commonly fitted to anti-vehicle and improvised mine systems and were widely deployed as part of German defensive preparations, including along the Atlantic Wall, where they were used in conjunction with obstacles and buried charges during the Normandy period. Markings such as R.R.K. (Reichs-Richtlinien-Kommission) indicate compliance with official German ordnance standards.
