*German, WW2, dated 1940, Hitler Jugend Dagger and Scabbard, by W.K.C. (Weyersberg, Kirschbaum & Co.)*
14cm blade, 24.5cm overall
Small dagger with beaked pommel, Bakelite chequered grip with two smooth dressed rivet heads with diamond shaped enameled swastika on red and white. Marked on raised ricasso with "RZM: M7/42 over 1940". M7/42 is the German war time code for daggers by W.K.C. (Weyersberg, Kirschbaum & Co.) Waffenfabrik, Solingen-Wald. This knife is consistent with Hitler Youth Daggers of the later period (1938-42) - thicker blade, higher ricasso, RZM designation, no motto and large diamond inlay approx: 25mmx15.5mm.
The dagger comes in its original metal scabbard with leather belt strap. Scabbard is magnetic sheet metal with no lip on the throat as it should be.
*Condition*
The blade is in good clean condition. The grip has minor signs of wear and tear commensurate with its age and service. The scabbard is missing the top part of the belt strap and is in worn condition.
