*German, WW2, Authenticated Adolf Hitler Signed Hoffmann Photograph Postcard*
A particularly fine and striking original Photo-Hoffmann sepia photograph postcard depicting Adolf Hitler standing in an open car during a public parade, wearing his party uniform and First World War Iron Cross. Measuring approximately 10.5 × 14.6 cm, printed on original period photographic stock with the deckle-cut edges and “Echte Fotografie” imprint typical of the Munich studio. The reverse bears the full “Photo-Hoffmann, München, Theresienstr. 74” credit — the definitive mark of Heinrich Hoffmann’s atelier, official photographer to the Führer and the German Reich.
The obverse displays a bold, flowing ink autograph “Adolf Hitler”, placed diagonally across the right margin, showing excellent contrast against the lighter tonal background of the image. The ink has soaked convincingly into the emulsion surface, characteristic of authentic period application rather than later reproduction.
This is an exceptionally well-preserved and visually impressive example, exhibiting rich tonal depth, crisp detail, and strong visual presence — enhanced further by the clean reverse and absence of handling marks.
Historical Note: Heinrich Hoffmann was not only Hitler’s official photographer but also a close personal associate, entrusted with shaping and controlling his public image from the early 1920s through to the end of the war. His Munich studio produced the iconic photographic portraits and propaganda images that defined the Third Reich’s visual identity. Period-signed Hoffmann prints and postcards were personally presented to party officials, dignitaries, and select foreign visitors, making genuine examples with autograph among the most desirable and historically resonant artefacts of the period.
*Condition* Excellent for age — sharp contrast, clean edges, mild age toning to the borders only, with a vivid and legible autograph in ink. Reverse unposted, clearly impressed studio mark and numbering visible. Please see photographs as part of the condition report.
A superb and highly desirable presentation example — combining the finest period photographic quality with a well-executed and boldly placed Hitler autograph.
