This is a Georgian Officer’s small sword which would have been used in the early 19th century throughout battles such as the Battle of Trafalgar. This sword features a gilt brass and downturn quillon. The central langets are cast with the fouled anchor and pommel is in the shape of a lion’s head. The grip is ivorine with wire binding. This is an excellent piece of naval history.

*Condition*

The blade has some rust across the surface and some of the brass finish has worn on the hilt. Please see pictures for more detail as they form part of our condition report.
