~ Gents Gold Plated Longines Conquest Wrist Watch c1972 ~
A fine gold plated gents wrist watch by the Swiss company Longines dating to 1972.
The watch has a stainless steel case, the front being gold plated.
The watch has a silvered and dial features gold coloured hour batons, minute increments and gold coloured hands including a sweeping seconds
hand.
It is named ‘Longines Conquest’ and also reads ‘Swiss Made’.
The push on case-back is of plain stainless steel and reads ‘Longines, Water Resistant, Antimagnetic, Shock Absorber, Swiss Made’.
The inside of the case-back is named ‘Longines’ with logo and has a serial no. of ‘1500’.
The watch has a 706 calibre, manual wind movement with 17 jewels. It is named ‘Longines Swiss Watch Co’ and has a serial no. of ‘51323688’.
The watch comes on a simple black leather strap.
~ Dimensions ~
The watch has a diameter across the bezel of 3.5cm.
Along with the strap the watch measures 24cm (9 ½ inches) in length.
It weighs 44g.
~ Condition ~
The case back is quite scratched with some dents but this is cosmetic damage only and does not affect the watch.
The rest of the watch is in a very nice condition with just a little wear to the gold plating alongside the crown.
The strap is a little worn.
The watch is in good working order.
