*GDR- East German, Cold War Era, Modell 47 Bayonet for AK47 (MPi-K) – Serial M5352 (No Scabbard)*
An original East German Modell 47 knife bayonet, produced between 1959 and 1965 for the MPi-K (Kalashnikov AK47) rifle. This scarce Cold War-era bayonet is marked with the electropenciled serial number M5352—a typical East German rack number—on the crossguard.
Modelled closely on the Soviet 6X2 pattern, the East German Modell 47 includes distinctive local features such as gloss black plastic grip scales, a deep mounting slot, and the unique partial second muzzle ring. The Modell 47 features an unusual grip and a partial second muzzle ring. This design arose because the original AK47 was not intended to accommodate a bayonet, making the bayonet a later addition.
This example is sold without its scabbard, and the condition reflects field or rack use.
