French M1874 Gras Rifle Epee Bayonet

The bayonet has a brass mounted hilt with shaped walnut grips held by two steel rivets, steel cross guard with sept forward curved quillon, 522mm ‘T’ shaped steel blade dated roller impressed ‘Mre d’Armes de St. Etienne 1876’.
The piece is serial numbered A87457 and stamped with a number of proof marks.

~ Condition ~

As can be seen in the pictures, the piece has some surface rust but its overall condition is good.
