A nice watercolour of a coastal scene by the artist Fred Miller.
The scene depicts a small river harbour with several moored boats.
I have seen another piece by Fred Miller titled 'On the Clyde ' which is of a very similar landscape leading me to believe that this is also quite likely a
scene of the river Clyde in Scotland.
The piece is signed by the artist to the bottom left corner.
The piece is mounted in a glazed gilt frame.
~ Dimensions ~
The watercolour measures 6 ½ inches (16.5cm) by 9 ½ inches (24cm).
The frame measures 12 ¾ inches (32.5cm) by 15 inches (38cm).
The framed piece weighs 1.21 Kg.
~ Condition ~
At some point the piece has been framed in a smaller mount, which shows that the piece has a little discolouration from exposure, as the outer edge of
the painting is of a brighter more original colour. Aside from this the painting is in good order.
The mount has some age wear and the frame is a little worn in parts but in sound condition.
