A very well executed acrylic on canvas painting of the Avro Vulcan XM655 by Jon Westwood, dated 2005.

The piece is titled ‘Keeping 655 Alive’ and according to a note attached to the back of the painting shows the bomber performing a fast taxi display at Wellesbourne Mountford Airfield in Warwickshire.

The painting is presented in a simple wood frame.

The XM655 is the youngest of the three remaining Avro Vulcan B Mk2’s  in existence.

It is owned by Wellesbourne Mountford Airfield and has been maintained by the 655 Maintenance & Preservation Society since 1998

The image measures 49.5cm (19 ½ inches) by 39cm (15 ¼ inches).

The frame measures 58.5cm (23 inches) by 48.5cm (19 inches).

The piece weighs 1.1 Kg

~ Condition ~

The painting is in really nice condition with no issues or damage.

The frame is in good order.
