The chromolithograph was published in 1905, the centenary of the battle of Trafalgar. It is presented in a gilt wood and glazed frame.

As well as the main image depicting the battle of Trafalgar, there is also a cartouche image of Nelson, the flags for 'England Expects Every Man Will Do His Duty' and a map of the bay of Trafalgar.
