~ 1831 Pattern General Officers Sabre ~

The engraved blade is named to "Field Marshall Sir William Robertson Bart GCB KCVO DSO" on one side (believed to be a recent addition) and the manufacturers details are J. R. Gaunt & Son Limited Edward Thurkle, 53 Conduit St, London to the other. There are some minor dark patches on the blade.

It comes with its steel scabbard with twin suspension loops and its sword knot.

~ Condition ~

The grips are crack free but have a little play in them due to shrinkage. The sword knot has minor fraying. There are minor dark patches on the blade. Otherwise, all in good order.

~ Dimensions ~

The sword has a total length of 97 cm (38 inches) with a 84 cm (33 inches) blade.
