*Elegant Lightweight Belgian Sports Rifle 1937-1964 - Deactivated*
Elegant, slim-line sports rifle in excellent condition. Cross hatched pattern on woodwork. Liège proof mark of a crowned oval surrounding the letters ELG and a star, inside the breech which was introduced to designate arms proved in conformity with the German Proof Law of 1891. Above the Leige Proof mark is the inspectors code of a Star followed by the letter X. This code was used from 1877 and the X signified the controller of the proofs Reignier Alfred 1937-1964. On the outside of the breech are two Birmingham Proof Marks (cross swords and letters DA) on either side of the breech to indicate its deactivation.
31" barrell. 45 3/4" overall. Approx: 5 bore.
*Condition*
Cocks and dry-fires. In excellent condition. Lovely patina to the wood, some minor signs of wear and tear. Please see photographs as part of the condition report. The barrel has been plugged and slotted.
