Early WW1 British Trench Watch

~ Early WW1 British Trench Watch ~

The piece is comprised of a small steel pocket watch detach-ably mounted via a sprung harness to a brown leather strap. These are quite rare as later WW1 trench watches tend to be of the modern configuration i.e. with a side winder and lugs.

The watch has a white dial and Roman numerals

~ Condition ~

Both the watch and strap are in good vintage order. It just about runs and adjusts but really does need a good service.

~ Dimensions ~

The watch has a diameter of 3.3 cm (1.25 inches). The length of the strap is 20 cm (8 inches).
