Here we have a rather nice lead cutter cutlass in the form of an 1845 pattern manufactured by the company Fisher and Randall.

The 1845 naval cutlass is one of the most iconic cutlass in the world, used is countless movies by pirates and also used in one of the most interesting periods of British Naval history when Britain was the greatest naval power on earth.

The sword appears to be a contracted one made for the British in times when the government suppliers couldn’t keep up with the demand.

The sword is constructed from steel with an iron grip and guard with the manufacturers mark near the base of the blade.

The sword is 35 inches (89 cm) long.

The blade is 30 inches (76 cm) long

The sword weighs 1.04Kg.

~ Condition ~

The sword is in good condition for its age with all of its bare steel showing.

The sword has a light and even salt and pepper pitting.
