~ Early 20th Century Large Leather Model of an Elephant ~

A large leather model of an elephant dating to the early 20^th Century.

The model will be of wooden construction and bulked out with hay most likely. It has then been covered in leather and painted black.

The model has not been altered and features the original faux-bone tusks.

Models such as these were sold in Libertys of London in the 1920’s, though we cannot guarantee that it is a Liberty model.

~ Dimensions ~

The elephant has a length of 64cm (25 inches) and a total height of 74cm (29 inches).

It weighs just under 5Kg

~ Condition ~

The leather has dried and is cracked in some places as to be expected but overall the model is in very good condition with no damage.
