~ Early 20th Century Japanese Famille Rose/Noir Vase – Signed Te Cu Ka ~

A beautiful Japanese Famille Rose/Noir porcelain vase signed to the base for ‘Te Cu Ka’, dating to 1900-1920.

The vase is of baluster for with a flared rim and features a small draining hole in the base.

The vase is decorated with tradition Japanese flowers and traditionally dressed japans ladies on a rich pink ground.

There are framed scenes both front and reverse depicting houses, trees and mountains.

The neck is decorated in the same manner as the body but on a black ground instead.

The vase is finished with a geometrical design collar below the neck and a leaf pattern border to the lower edge.

The vase is signed in Japanese script to the base which when translated reads ‘Te Cu Ka’.

~ Dimensions ~

The vase has a diameter of 16.5cm (6 ½ inches) and a height of 25cm (9 ¾ inches).

It weighs 1.43 Kg.

~ Condition ~

There is one tiny chip to the paintwork (see images).

The vase is otherwise in a lovely condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.

A beautiful undamaged piece that presents very well.
