This is a British, Royal Navy midshipman’s dirk from the early 19^th century. It has a curved, single edged, fullered 18 inch blade with an “S” shaped crossguard and a carved, ribbed grip. The pommel features a lion’s head and the dirk comes complete with its original scabbard.

Condition

The pommel is slightly loose against the grip and has some loss of finish. There is some light pitting across the blade. Please see pictures for more detail as they form part of our condition report.
