~ Cold War Era Deactivated LPO-50 Flame Thrower ~

Deactivated LPO-50 Flame Thrower in very good condition. Full moving parts and complete with connector hose and tanks. Polish Cold War Manufacture. The LPO-50, Light Infantry Flamethrower, first entered service with the Soviet Union in 1953 and was not phased out until the end of the war in Afghanistan.

Each tank had enough fuel for 3 seconds worth of fire and the selector on the firing unit allowed the operator to choose which tank to enable. It had a maximum range of 70 metres with thickened diesel fuel.

The Mujahideen were terrified of this weapon, with good reason! It was also manufactured in other Warsaw Pact countries, such as Romania, Poland, Hungary, East Germany, and also in China as the Type 74.

The Vietnamese also made this version.

~ Condition ~

The flame thrower is in fair condition for its age.

The shoulder straps need re-stitching and there are minor traces of rust on the top metal connectors.
