~ Circa 1950 Moorcroft Iris Pattern Lamp Base ~
A striking lamp base decorated with tubelined irises and blue cornflowers.
The piece is back stamped for Moorcroft, Made In England and initialed in a deep slate green for Walter Moorcroft, this dates the piece to between 1947 and 1953.
~ Condition ~
The glaze is crazed and there is some loss around the neck from when the lamp ran hot when on. It will need to be PAC tested by the owner before use.
~ Dimensions ~
The lamp stand is 17 cm (10 inches) tall with a maximum diameter on the base of 16 cm (6.25 inches).
