A rare Royal Doulton Chang bowl by Charles Noke and Harry Nixon.

It has a heavy polychrome lava glaze over a flambe ground,  and is signed with painted marks and a monogram.

Because of the very heavy use of glaze, there are the usual glaze chips (particularly to the inner rim and foot) and firing cracks.

Quite normal for this type of ceramic.

The bowl is 22cm (8.5 inches) in diameter.
