~ Circa 1903 William Moorcroft For James Macintyre Florian Ware Fruit Bowl With Poppies  ~

The stunning large bowl has a frilled edge and is decorated with blue and red tubelined poppies with green foliage over a white ground. The rim is decorated with concentric circles.

It is signed by William Moorcroft in green with a pattern number 0f 19/2 and bears the MacIntyre of Burslem backstamp. It was also made for and to be retailed by C. Jenner & Co. of Edinburgh (which is still trading as Jenners to this day).

~ Condition ~

There is a short hairline crack to the rim and general glaze crazing.

The bowl is 23 cm (9 inches) in diameter and 10 cm (4 inches) tall.
