A charismatic jug of the immortal hero, Lord Horatio Nelson, modeled in full relief.

The piece is back stamped "Replica Of The Original Jug Made By Doulton & Watts Lambeth" as well as the Royal Doulton back stamp.

The original version was issued in 1830 by Doulton & Watts. They later became Royal Doulton and this particular type of jug was reissued by them in both 1870. A further reissue occurred in 1905.

~ Condition ~

The piece is in excellent order, just a few very minor areas of wear to the salt glaze plus a chip to the low edge by the front, right shoulder.

The piece is 20 cm (8 inches) tall by 17.5 cm (6.75 inches) wide by 16 cm (6.25 inches) deep.
